As an itinerant TVI, you'll travel between campuses near Modesto, CA, providing specialized instruction and advocacy to students with visual impairments. You’ll collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to help students access the curriculum and fully engage in their learning.

What we’re looking for:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI), or eligibility for California licensure
  • Experience adapting instructional strategies and materials for students with visual impairments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple school sites
  • Knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, accessible materials, and individual education planning
  • Commitment to fostering independence and confidence in students

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct instruction to students with visual impairments across various grade levels
  • Conducting assessments to determine students’ educational needs and tracking progress
  • Consulting with classroom teachers on accessible instructional techniques and materials
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Traveling between campuses to support students in inclusive and specialized settings
