Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Proven experience in adapting curriculum and materials for students with visual impairments
  • Understanding of Braille and accessible technology
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
  • Ability to develop individualized education plans and document progress

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and accommodations for two students in 3rd and 5th grade
  • Adapt educational materials and utilize assistive technology to ensure access to the curriculum
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other professionals to support student success
  • Monitor student progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with educational best practices
