Teacher for the Visually Impaired - Morton, Pennsylvania

As an itinerant TVI, you’ll serve a diverse, school-aged caseload, traveling to multiple campuses to assess needs, provide direct instruction, and collaborate with staff. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification with a specialization in Visual Impairment
• Previous experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired preferred
• Strong knowledge of Braille, adaptive technology, and accommodations for visually impaired learners
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between schools within the county

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess student needs and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide direct and consultative instruction to visually impaired students
• Train school personnel in accommodations and modifications
• Advocate for students’ access to curriculum and school resources
• Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with educational standards
