Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Visual Impairments (TVI) or eligibility for PA certification
• Previous experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired preferred
• Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Reliable transportation for daily travel between schools within the county
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and equitable learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and adaptive strategies to students with visual impairments
• Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing specialized insight and recommendations
• Collaborate with general education staff to adapt materials and support accessibility
• Provide assistive technology training and orientation/mobility instruction, as appropriate
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and services provided
• Serve as a liaison between families, school teams, and outside agencies
