This full-time, contract opportunity involves providing specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students across multiple schools within the county, ensuring access to the general curriculum and fostering independence.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Visual Impairments (TVI) or eligibility for PA certification
- Previous experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired preferred
- Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Reliable transportation for daily travel between schools within the county
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and equitable learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and adaptive strategies to students with visual impairments
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing specialized insight and recommendations
- Collaborate with general education staff to adapt materials and support accessibility
- Provide assistive technology training and orientation/mobility instruction, as appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and services provided
- Serve as a liaison between families, school teams, and outside agencies
