Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Naperville, Illinois

This part-time, itinerant position will allow you to work across both elementary and middle school settings, helping students achieve their fullest potential throughout the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) endorsement
• Experience working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, preferably within school environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to partner effectively with students, staff, and families
• Flexibility to work in multiple school sites as required
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive educational experience for students with visual impairments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative services to meet the individual needs of students from elementary through middle school
• Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in alignment with student goals and state standards
• Adapt instructional materials and facilitate access to technology for visually impaired students
• Offer training and support to instructional staff and families to promote student independence
