Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction tailored to students with visual impairments, fostering independence and academic growth
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, aides, and related service providers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Travel between assignments within the county to work with students on an itinerant basis, maintaining a consistent, dependable schedule
  • Conduct assessments to monitor progress and recommend appropriate accommodations and adaptive strategies
  • Serve as a resource for school staff and families regarding best practices and available supportive technologies
