Teacher of Visually Impaired in Oakdale, CA

Bring your expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to make a lasting impact during the 26/27 school year! This rewarding contract opportunity will have you working with students across multiple campuses near Oakdale, CA. You'll play a pivotal role in providing specialized support, helping students with visual impairments discover their full potential.

As a part-time TVI, you’ll work 20 hours per week in an itinerant capacity, delivering tailored instruction where it's needed most. Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification/licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students who are visually impaired
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable adapting instructional materials and technologies for visually impaired learners
• Able to travel between school sites as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ individual educational needs and develop customized plans
• Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects and life skills
• Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt classroom materials and activities
• Participate in IEP meetings, preparing accurate documentation and progress reports
• Offer support and training to staff and families on best practices for working with visually impaired students
