Key Qualifications:

• Valid state teaching certification with an endorsement or credential in teaching students with visual impairments
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for visually impaired students
• Proficiency in Braille instruction and the use of adaptive technology for visual impairments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, students, and parents
• Ability to travel between sites as needed, if multiple schools are assigned
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments
• Assess student needs and track progress toward IEP goals
• Select and modify instructional materials and strategies to best suit each learner
