We are seeking dedicated Teachers for the Visually Impaired to begin as soon as possible and continue through May 2027. This full-time, on-site role offers the chance to make a lasting impact across multiple campuses within the area.

We are actively interviewing candidates who meet the following qualifications:

  • Current Educator Certification and National Certification required
  • Recent or relevant experience working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in a school setting
  • Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and educational staff
  • Capacity to adapt instruction and materials to support K-12 learners
  • Must complete a district background check and any credentialing requirements promptly

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments
  • Assessing student needs and collaborating on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Modifying curriculum materials, ensuring accessibility and promoting student independence
  • Consulting with general education teachers and providing professional development as needed
  • Traveling between assigned campuses (mileage reimbursement available in most cases)
  • Maintaining accurate records and complying with all district policies

This contract offers a competitive pay rate of $45 per hour, commensurate with experience and credentialing. The role is full-time, with a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week.
