Discover an exceptional contract opportunity serving students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in the vibrant Orlando area. This full-time position runs from August 10, 2026, through May 25, 2027, working across a close-knit cluster of schools—primarily elementary to middle, with rare visits to up to three locations in a single day. As an itinerant teacher, you’ll provide specialized instruction and support to a manageable caseload of 12 students from kindergarten through 8th grade, empowering them to excel academically and thrive in their daily lives.

Candidates must hold Educator Certification with a Vision endorsement and be prepared to complete district-specific credentialing, including a background check and fingerprinting. The role offers in-person impact with opportunities for collaboration, mentorship, and direct support within a supportive academic network.

Qualifications:

  • Current Educator Certification with Vision endorsement
  • Experience working with K–8 students with visual impairments preferred
  • Knowledge of Braille instruction, assistive technology, and adaptive strategies
  • Ability to travel between schools within assigned clusters during the school day
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to individualized education plans

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative services to K–8 students with visual impairments
  • Assess student needs and collaborate on developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide training and resources for staff and families to enhance inclusive practices
  • Implement assistive technologies and instructional modifications
  • Maintain required documentation and participate in school/district meetings
