Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification for Visually Impaired Students
• Experience working with children and adolescents who are visually impaired
• Strong knowledge of Braille and assistive technology
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet individual student needs
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support for students with visual impairments
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with educators, related service providers, and families to address student needs
• Advocate for accessibility and accommodations within the academic setting
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports
• Guide students in developing self-advocacy and daily living skills
