Bring your specialized expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired to an engaging contract opportunity supporting K–12 students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. This full-time role offers the chance to work with a diverse student population in a dynamic school cluster near Oviedo, FL. This itinerant position will see you primarily assigned to two nearby schools each day, with occasional assignments to a third if needed.

As you collaborate with dedicated educational teams, you will tailor instruction and adapt curriculum materials to meet the needs of students with visual impairments. With a manageable caseload of approximately 12 students, your impact will be both meaningful and personal, fostering growth and independence.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Educator Certification with Vision endorsement
  • Previous experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) highly preferred
  • Comfort working with students in grades K–8; experience with a range of age groups a plus
  • Familiarity with Braille, assistive technology, and specialized curriculum adaptations
  • Willingness to travel between schools within a cluster during the school day
  • Must successfully complete a district background check, fingerprinting, and onboarding forms prior to start

Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering direct instruction and consultative support to students with visual impairments
  • Modifying instructional materials and integrating technology to ensure accessibility
  • Collaborating closely with general education staff, related service providers, and families
  • Assessing student progress and contributing to IEP meetings
  • Maintaining clear documentation and communication in line with district policies
