As a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI), you will collaborate with multiple campuses near Patterson, CA, working part-time (20 hours per week) during the 2026/2027 school year. This contract position allows you to make a significant impact by helping students access their education and develop essential life skills.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid certification or credential as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Experience working with students in K-12 educational settings
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive instructional methods for visually impaired learners
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a flexible, itinerant schedule across various school sites
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive and accessible learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with visual impairments
  • Adapt curriculum materials and employ specialized teaching strategies to meet students’ needs
  • Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with IEPs and district guidelines
  • Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, families, and related service providers
  • Serve as a resource for staff and parents regarding best practices for visual impairment education
  • Travel between school campuses to ensure consistent student support
