This contract opportunity near Peabody, MA, offers the chance to share your expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, helping students achieve their greatest potential. Flexible full-time and part-time schedules are available, and you’ll be working onsite in a dedicated, collaborative setting.
What you’ll bring:
- Current VI Teacher License and MA DOE License
- Successful completion of MTELs
- Experience educating students who are visually impaired, preferably in a school setting
- A proactive, compassionate approach to helping students of varying needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible learning environment
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and individualized instruction to students with visual impairments
- Develop and implement students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families
- Adapt materials for diverse visual accessibility needs
- Track and report student progress, adjusting strategies to maximize learning
- Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment
This role starts September 1, 2026 and runs through June 14, 2027, with schedules available for both part-time and full-time educators. You’ll work alongside committed professionals and gain valuable experience supporting a distinct student population—making a real impact every day.
