This contract opportunity near Peabody, MA, offers the chance to share your expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, helping students achieve their greatest potential. Flexible full-time and part-time schedules are available, and you’ll be working onsite in a dedicated, collaborative setting.

What you’ll bring:

  • Current VI Teacher License and MA DOE License
  • Successful completion of MTELs
  • Experience educating students who are visually impaired, preferably in a school setting
  • A proactive, compassionate approach to helping students of varying needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible learning environment

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and individualized instruction to students with visual impairments
  • Develop and implement students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families
  • Adapt materials for diverse visual accessibility needs
  • Track and report student progress, adjusting strategies to maximize learning
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive classroom environment

This role starts September 1, 2026 and runs through June 14, 2027, with schedules available for both part-time and full-time educators. You’ll work alongside committed professionals and gain valuable experience supporting a distinct student population—making a real impact every day.
