Share your expertise in supporting visually impaired students by taking on an impactful onsite contract role in a welcoming school environment near Peoria, AZ. This full-time opportunity (subject to adjustment) runs from early August to late May, providing you the chance to make a real difference in students’ lives across a complete school year.

In this position, you will contribute your specialized knowledge as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, helping students access curriculum and fostering independence. The caseload and assignment details will be communicated as they become available, ensuring that your skills are matched to the appropriate needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active educator certification required
  • Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Experience or strong interest in providing educational services to students with visual impairments
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other teachers
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans for visually impaired students
  • Adapt instructional materials and curricula for accessibility
  • Support the use of assistive technology
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate regularly with families, administrators, and specialists

Additional Information:

  • Contract assignment for the full 2026-2027 school year
