Ideal qualifications and skills:

  • Current certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Experience working with school-aged children who are visually impaired
  • Strong skills in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Ability to travel between multiple school locations within the county
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated adaptability and creativity in instructional strategies

Key responsibilities in this role:

  • Deliver direct and consultative services to students in various school settings
  • Design and modify curricula and materials for accessibility
  • Conduct and participate in IEP meetings, providing ongoing support to ensure student success
