Teacher of Visually Impaired - Phoenixville, PA

Make a meaningful impact as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in the Broomall area and throughout Delaware County, PA. This contract opportunity offers the chance to support school-age students as part of an itinerant team, helping each child reach their full potential. Providing direct and consultative services, you’ll work in various educational settings with a dedicated network of professionals.

Qualifications and Experience Desired:

• Active certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience working with visually impaired or blind students, preferably in schools
• Strong ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning environments and student needs
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and school personnel
• Willingness to travel between multiple sites across Delaware County
• Genuine passion for empowering students with visual impairments

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative instruction to students with visual impairments
• Assess student needs and develop individualized educational strategies
• Provide orientation and mobility support as appropriate
• Partner with classroom teachers, staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support
• Create accessible materials and adapt resources for compliance with IEPs
• Keep records of services and participate in IEP meetings as needed
