Key Qualifications:

• Active Illinois licensure and certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
• CTE endorsement required
• Demonstrated experience in a school-based environment
• Skilled in completing functional vision and media assessments
• Comfortable conducting detailed classroom observations
• Strong communication abilities for collaborative interactions
• Ability to participate in a 30-minute interview for consideration
• Onsite position (VOCO/virtual services are not an option)

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough functional vision assessments and media assessments to support IEP and evaluation teams
• Conduct in-person classroom observations to provide insight into student needs and classroom accessibility
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary staff to share findings and recommend accommodations
• Maintain compliance with all professional standards and state regulations
