For the 2026–2027 school year, an itinerant educator is needed to support learners across a network of campuses near Plano, TX. Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience working with students who have visual impairments in school-based settings
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs related to visual impairment
- Ability to travel between campuses and manage an itinerant schedule efficiently
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative instructional services to a caseload of approximately 25 students
- Rotate between up to 10 campuses on alternating days, ensuring continuity of support
- Maintain office hours at the administrative annex for prep, meetings, and documentation
- Conduct assessments, contribute to IEP development, and advise staff and families on adaptations and accommodations
- Collaborate with general education teachers and other specialists to foster inclusive learning environments
- Stay current on best practices, assistive technology, and resources for students with visual impairments
