For the 2026–2027 school year, an itinerant educator is needed to support learners across a network of campuses near Plano, TX. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse group of students and collaborate with supportive teams, while enjoying the flexibility and autonomy that comes with covering multiple locations.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Experience working with students who have visual impairments in school-based settings
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs related to visual impairment
  • Ability to travel between campuses and manage an itinerant schedule efficiently
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative instructional services to a caseload of approximately 25 students
  • Rotate between up to 10 campuses on alternating days, ensuring continuity of support
  • Maintain office hours at the administrative annex for prep, meetings, and documentation
  • Conduct assessments, contribute to IEP development, and advise staff and families on adaptations and accommodations
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other specialists to foster inclusive learning environments
  • Stay current on best practices, assistive technology, and resources for students with visual impairments
