Make an impact in the lives of visually impaired students by supporting their educational journey as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in the vibrant community near Plano, TX. This is a full-time, contract position for the 2026–2027 school year, working on-site across multiple campuses. You'll collaborate with a dynamic team and flex your expertise with a varied, fluid caseload of students ranging from elementary to high school, including several homebound learners.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TSVI) licensure is required.
  • Experience supporting K–12 students with visual impairments, preferably in itinerant roles.
  • Adept at adapting curriculum and materials to individualized student needs.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
  • Comfortable traveling between campuses and working with a fluid student caseload.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and adaptive resources for students (approx. 12–15 on caseload) across six campuses.
  • Deliver specialized services to homebound students as needed throughout the year.
  • Conduct individualized assessments and participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to develop student goals.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure effective inclusion.
  • Adjust to evolving caseload assignments throughout the school year and maintain accurate records for each student served.
