Key Qualifications:

• Valid FL DOE Teacher for Visually Impaired certification
• Proficiency in teaching Braille
• Must complete district fingerprinting; those with existing AHCA Clearinghouse prints may be eligible for expedited processing
• Experience or readiness to provide services across several school sites
• Strong communication and consultative skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative instructional services for 12 students with visual impairments (690 minutes per week), and consult with staff on two additional students
• Teach Braille and adapt learning materials for visually impaired students across up to 5 schools
• Develop and implement IEP goals, and collaborate closely with school staff and families
• Document student progress and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
