Qualifications and Requirements:

• Valid and active Texas teaching license for teachers of the visually impaired
• Proven experience working with visually impaired students in educational settings
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Commitment to creating inclusive and accessible learning environments

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and adapt materials based on students’ individual needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure consistent support
• Conduct assessments and track student progress toward educational goals
• Provide orientation and mobility training support as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff discussions, and ongoing professional development
• Support students’ access to curriculum, technology, and community resources
