Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students with visual impairments in a vibrant educational community. This opportunity begins August 5, 2026, and runs through the end of the school year on May 27, 2027. The job is full-time and onsite, serving a caseload of approximately 8-10 students, predominantly elementary but with the possibility of supporting middle or high school students. The caseload may flex based on additional qualifying students and spans multiple school sites.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
- Active Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification required.
- Experience providing both direct instructional and consultative services to students with visual impairments.
- Solid understanding of IEP processes, including service documentation and effective communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different schools and participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to support a varied caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative services in line with each student’s IEP.
- Attend IEP and other relevant student support meetings as needed.
- Provide indirect services by maintaining timely documentation and facilitating communication connected to IEP activities.
- Travel between assigned school sites to ensure continuity of support.
- Foster positive, inclusive environments where visually impaired students can thrive.
