Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification for Visually Impaired students
- Previous experience supporting K-12 students with visual impairments preferred
- Knowledge of adaptive technologies and Braille instruction

- Ability to assess student needs and progress effectively
Essential Responsibilities:
- Design and implement tailored instructional strategies that meet each student’s unique learning requirements
- Adapt classroom materials into accessible formats, including large print and Braille
- Provide direct and consultative services to students, staff, and families
- Foster self-advocacy skills in students for maximum independence both in and out of the classroom
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain detailed progress reports and participate in IEP meetings
- Advise educators and administrators on best practices and resources for visually impaired learners
