TVI - Saint Francis, MN

Inspire students and make an impact as a dedicated educator supporting learners with visual impairments. This contract opportunity offers the chance to provide specialized direct and indirect instructional minutes for approximately 23 students in a school-based setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. One student on the caseload is currently learning Braille, presenting a fulfilling challenge for professionals with expertise in this area. The average weekly commitment is about 20 hours, with no case management responsibilities required.

Qualifications:

• Valid Blind or Visually Impaired (BVI) teaching license issued by the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB)
• Demonstrated experience working with students who are visually impaired, including Braille instruction
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with educational teams
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and adaptive learning environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments
• Provide indirect/minutes-based instructional services as determined by student need
• Adapt curriculum and materials for accessibility
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to implement strategies and accommodations
• Track student progress and contribute to goal development as needed
