Qualifications and Experience:

• Hold a valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Previous experience supporting students with visual impairments in school or educational settings
• Strong understanding of assistive technology and adaptive instructional strategies
• Ability to develop and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual impairments, supporting both academic growth and independence
• Assess student needs and develop appropriate goals and learning strategies
• Provide and recommend adaptive materials, technology, and resources
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional input
• Offer training and support to educational staff regarding vision impairment accommodations
• Travel as needed within assigned schools or classrooms to provide services
