A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized educational services for K-12 students in a Saint Paul, MN school. This role is ideal for professionals skilled in supporting visually impaired learners through individualized instruction and adaptive techniques.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and identifying the educational needs of visually impaired students
  • Developing and implementing tailored instructional plans aligned with students’ unique learning goals
  • Collaborating with classroom teachers, service providers, and families to support student success
  • Providing direct instruction in areas such as Braille literacy, orientation and mobility, and use of assistive technologies
  • Monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies as needed
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of services provided

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or equivalent credential
  • Experience working with K-12 students who have visual impairments
  • Strong knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive learning materials
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to design individualized educational programs (IEPs) specific to visual impairments

This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic and personal growth of visually impaired students through specialized instruction in a structured K-12 setting.
