Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid certification in teaching students with visual impairments
  • Bachelor’s or higher in Education or related field (specialization in Visual Impairment preferred)
  • Previous experience working with students who are blind or with low vision
  • Familiarity with Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive teaching tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to meet the educational needs of visually impaired students
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support personnel to ensure tailored learning experiences
  • Serve as a resource for families and staff regarding best practices and available tools
