Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience teaching or supporting students with visual impairments in a school environment
• Solid understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs), assistive technology, and accessibility tools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet diverse student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative services for students who are blind or visually impaired in accordance with IEP goals
• Develop and implement instructional strategies and adaptive materials tailored to each student’s needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure accessible learning
• Conduct functional vision assessments and make recommendations for optimal learning environments
• Support the use of technology and devices that enhance students’ academic and daily living skills
