Soliant is seeking two dedicated Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs) to join a supportive school district in San Antonio, Texas for the full 2026–2027 school year. These are full-time, district-wide positions serving students across high school clusters while making a meaningful impact on student success.
Position Details
- Location: San Antonio, TX
- Openings: 2
- Schedule: Full-Time
- Contract: Full 2026–2027 School Year
- Caseload: District-wide, assigned by high school clusters
Responsibilities
- Provide direct vision instruction and support to students

Deliver indirect services, including:
- Staff consultations
- Collaboration with educational teams
- Instructional material preparation and adaptation

Complete evaluations, including:
- Functional Vision Evaluations (FVE)
- Learning Media Assessments (LMA)
- Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Assessments
- Attend and participate in ARD meetings
- Travel throughout the district as needed (travel time may be billable based on district guidelines)
Qualifications
- Active Texas certification as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) or eligibility to obtain certification
- Experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel between school sites within the district
