Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Experience providing both direct instruction and indirect consultation services
  • Familiarity with functional vision evaluations (FVE), learning media assessments (LMA), and orientation & mobility (O&M) assessments
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student advocacy

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to students with visual impairments
  • Offer consultation services, collaborate with staff, and prepare accessible materials
  • Conduct various evaluations, including FVE, LMA, and O&M assessments
  • Attend ARD meetings and contribute to individualized education plan (IEP) development
