Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification or credential as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or relevant experience as a Brailler
• Knowledge of assistive technology and educational strategies for visually impaired students
• Experience adapting curriculum and materials for accessibility is highly preferred
• Strong communication and collaborative skills to work with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering direct instruction and individualized support to students with visual impairments
• Assessing students’ needs and developing appropriate educational plans
• Collaborating closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other specialists
• Creating and adapting educational materials in braille and other accessible formats
• Providing ongoing training and guidance for staff and family members as needed
• Utilizing assessment tools and assistive technology to track student progress and promote independence
