As a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI), you’ll play a crucial role in fostering student growth, independence, and confidence through individualized instruction and collaboration with educators and families. Key Qualifications:

• Valid TVI credential or certification
• Experience working with K-12 students who are visually impaired
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IEPs for visually impaired students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Ability to adapt curriculum materials to meet diverse student needs
• Commitment to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative services to students to support vision-related learning needs
• Assess student progress and modify instructional strategies as needed
• Collaborate with general and special education teachers to ensure access to the curriculum
• Advocate for appropriate accommodations, resources, and assistive technology
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with evaluation, reporting, and IEP requirements
