• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and staff
• Commitment to promoting independence and confidence in students

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess student needs and design tailored instructional strategies
• Provide direct instruction in Braille, orientation and mobility, and daily living skills
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and school teams to ensure accessibility
• Modify classroom materials and recommend adaptive equipment as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation
• Support staff with professional development regarding visual impairments and accommodations
