Bring your expertise in supporting students with visual impairments to a dynamic, collaborative school environment. We are interviewing now for a contract role serving students across K–8 grade levels in a lively cluster of schools. This is an onsite, itinerant position, allowing you to make an impact at multiple campuses within the same district. You'll join a dedicated team, serving a caseload of approximately 12 students, and helping to ensure each child receives the individualized instruction and resources they need to succeed.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Educator Certification and National Certification specific to teaching students with visual impairments
  • Experience delivering instruction and accommodations to students who are blind or have low vision in elementary and/or middle school settings
  • Familiarity with assessments, adaptive technology, and braille instruction
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Ability to adapt to changes in caseload and school assignments as needed
  • Successful completion of required district background checks, fingerprinting, and credentialing processes within specified timelines

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct teaching and consultation for K–8 students across up to two schools each day within assigned clusters
  • Individualize instruction based on IEPs and student-specific needs, including orientation and mobility and assistive technology
  • Collaborate with school educators, parents, and support teams to develop, implement, and monitor educational plans
  • Travel between campuses within the same cluster as part of an itinerant schedule
  • Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and relevant trainings

This contract opportunity starts in August 2026 and extends through the end of the academic year, offering a full-time, 35-hour workweek.
