Qualifications & Experience
- Current Educator Certification with Vision endorsement required
- Experience with K-8 caseloads desirable
- Ability to work itinerantly within 2-3 schools per day
- Must clear district background check, fingerprinting, and related credentialing
- Flexible to address caseload needs and travel between locations
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction to a caseload of 12 students (grades K-8)
- Adapt general education curriculum for students with visual impairments
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff
- Provide direct support, including orientation/mobility strategies and accessible learning materials
- Participate in IEP planning and progress tracking
- Communicate effectively with parents and multidisciplinary teams
