Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Sanford, North Carolina

This is a full-time opportunity, offering 37.5 hours per week and continuing until May 2027. Earn between $39–$43 per hour while making a lasting difference in students’ lives.

Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina TVI License or appropriate certifications required
• Previous experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired strongly preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt lessons for students with diverse visual impairments
• Knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and accessible instructional materials
• Commitment to creating inclusive environments in school settings

Responsibilities:

• Deliver customized instruction based on students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to support educational access
• Conduct assessments and monitor student progress regularly
• Teach Braille, orientation and mobility, assistive technology, and daily living skills as needed
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and share insights to support student growth
