This is a full-time opportunity, offering 37.5 hours per week and continuing until May 2027. Earn between $39–$43 per hour while making a lasting difference in students’ lives.
Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina TVI License or appropriate certifications required
- Previous experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt lessons for students with diverse visual impairments
- Knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and accessible instructional materials
- Commitment to creating inclusive environments in school settings
Responsibilities:
- Deliver customized instruction based on students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to support educational access
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress regularly
- Teach Braille, orientation and mobility, assistive technology, and daily living skills as needed
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and share insights to support student growth
