Make a difference for students by supporting learners with visual impairments in a full-time contract role based near Scottsdale, AZ. In this onsite position, you will draw on your background as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to help shape inclusive educational experiences for students with varying degrees of vision loss. This assignment is expected to run from August 2026 through May 2027, offering you the chance to build meaningful professional relationships and hone your expertise.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current educator certification
  • Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Prior experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired or similar role in a school setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments according to IEPs
  • Adapt classroom materials, curricula, and assessments to accommodate individual needs
  • Consult regularly with general education staff and families to coordinate and optimize student learning
  • Conduct functional vision and learning media assessments as needed
  • Track and report student progress, maintaining proper documentation and compliance
