Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Experience working in school settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and orientation & mobility techniques
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to create and adapt individualized instructional plans

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess student needs and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments
• Adapt and modify general education curriculum for accessibility
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Introduce and implement assistive technology and adaptive tools
• Consult with families, offering guidance and resources
• Maintain accurate records and progress reports
