Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Spring Lake, NC

This full-time contract opportunity covers the upcoming school year from August 10, 2026, to May 27, 2027. You'll work Monday through Friday for 37.5 hours weekly, serving elementary, middle, and high school students. Multiple positions are available, allowing you to join a collaborative and passionate group of professionals.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Competency in sign language interpreting and teaching visually impaired students
• Familiarity with adapting instructional materials and methods to align with educational guidelines
• Ability to assess student achievement using a variety of formal and informal evaluation tools
• Experience with multi-grade caseloads and flexibility in service delivery

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized programs to support students’ unique visual needs across grade levels
• Regularly assess, monitor, and document academic progress to ensure instructional goals are being met
• Prepare for and actively participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings
• Collaborate with general educators and related service providers to offer comprehensive support
• Adapt curriculum materials and classroom environments to maximize accessibility for all learners
