What we’re looking for:

• An active Georgia Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) license is required
• Previous experience working with visually impaired students in an educational setting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
• Familiarity with assistive technology used by students with visual impairments

What you’ll do:

• Design and deliver specialized instruction for students with visual impairments
• Adapt and modify curriculum materials to ensure accessibility
• Conduct functional vision and learning media assessments
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and other service providers
• Provide direct support and instruction to students in a variety of educational settings
• Guide students in the use of adaptive technology and resources
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate progress with families and other stakeholders
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and services provided
