This opportunity centers on serving students from Pre-K through 12th grade, impacting their growth and academic success through specialized instruction based on IEPs. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated school team near Sykesville and Westminster, MD, where your expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) will be highly valued.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid Maryland teacher certification or licensure with TVI endorsement
  • Experience providing specially designed instruction to meet IEP goals for students who are visually impaired
  • Comfort working across a range of ages (Pre-K to Grade 12)
  • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 20-25 students
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying school schedules (typically between 7:30 am – 4:00 pm depending on assignment)
  • Commitment to in-person instruction (virtual/hybrid arrangements not available)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction for students on your caseload in accordance with their IEPs
  • Conduct evaluations and assess student progress
  • Partner closely with classroom teachers, families, and IEP teams to ensure student success
  • Maintain clear documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Travel to assigned school sites (assignments will be determined)
  • Utilize a school-provided laptop for planning and communication
