Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, particularly within K-5 settings.
• Valid TVI certification or teaching license (flexibility for out-of-state credentials).

• Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with classroom staff and families.
• Ability to tailor instruction for varying levels of need.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver 3 hours of direct support each week to two elementary students, adapting materials and lessons for their unique requirements.
• Dedicate 1 hour weekly to documenting goals and progress, participating in IEP planning, and communicating with team members.
• Assess student needs and advocate for appropriate accommodations, technology, and resources.
• Work closely with educational staff to ensure inclusive, accessible learning environments.
• Adjust instructional approaches to support both severe and moderate visual impairments.
