Make a direct impact on the educational experience of students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired with Oral Motor Specialist certification, providing vital support across multiple schools in the Tavares area. This full-time, contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 academic year and is ideally suited for travel professionals ready for a dynamic, on-site role. If you’re passionate about helping K-12 students succeed and thrive, this position offers a chance to serve 15-20 students through both direct teaching and consultative services across an itinerant caseload.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Florida TVI Professional License required
  • OMS Certification required
  • School-based experience strongly preferred, but not required
  • Background in student screening and testing
  • Ability to serve a diverse K-12 population
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and comfort traveling to multiple school sites daily

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver both direct and indirect services to students with visual impairments across 13 schools (2-3 schools per day)
  • Consult with teachers and staff to ensure student needs are met
  • Complete screenings and assessments as part of ongoing support
  • Serve as a resource for educational teams and families
  • Maintain documentation, timesheets, and participate in required onboarding steps
  • Establish a weekly schedule in collaboration with district leaders to optimize commute and work-life balance
