Qualifications:

  • Proficient in braille instruction (Braille fluency required)
  • Open to experienced Braillists, paraprofessionals, SLI, or Teachers for the Visually Impaired
  • Previous experience working with students with visual impairments is a plus
  • Patience and dedication to support a high school student with low cognition
  • Ability to commit to a travel contract spanning 8/13/26 to 6/11/27

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 braille instruction and support to a high school male student
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet the student’s individualized needs
  • Track student progress and communicate effectively with educational team members
  • Foster an engaging and safe learning environment
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and support staff
