A part-time teaching opportunity is available for a skilled Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) specializing in telehealth services. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students through remote learning platforms, ensuring accessibility and personalized educational plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of visually impaired students.
  • Deliver direct instruction via telehealth technologies to support students’ academic and social development.
  • Collaborate with educational teams and families to monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies.
  • Provide training and resources to school staff and caregivers to facilitate effective support for visually impaired learners.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with program standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) or equivalent specialized training.
  • Experience in telehealth or remote instruction methods for students with visual impairments.
  • Strong communication and technology skills to effectively engage students and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop adaptive educational materials and strategies for diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to promoting independence and confidence among visually impaired students.
