Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Kentucky

This full-time itinerant teaching position focuses on providing specialized support for visually impaired students across multiple school locations. Working remotely through telehealth and teletherapy platforms, the role serves a total of 15 students spread over eight schools.

Key responsibilities include delivering comprehensive instruction tailored to the unique needs of visually impaired learners. This includes Orientation and Mobility (O&M) services for five students, braille instruction for one student, and support for one homebound student. Collaboration with educational staff and families will be essential to ensure effective learning outcomes and accessibility.

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience providing teletherapy or telehealth services, especially in educational settings
• Skills in Orientation and Mobility (O&M) instruction
• Knowledge of braille instruction methods
• Ability to work across multiple school sites and adapt to diverse learning environments
• Strong communication and organizational skills for managing caseload and technology use

Location: Catlettsburg, KY (remote service delivery across eight school sites)
