A full-time teaching opportunity is available for a specialist in visual impairment education using telehealth methods. This role requires dedication to supporting visually impaired students through tailored instructional strategies delivered remotely. Located in Pittsboro, NC, the position offers a consistent five-day workweek.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support services to students with visual impairments via telehealth platforms
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with students’ unique needs
- Collaborate with families, educators, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state education policies
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience providing telehealth services to visually impaired students preferred
- Strong understanding of assistive technology and adaptive teaching methods
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage students in a virtual environment
