Virtual Teacher of Visually Impaired in NC

A full-time Teachers for the Visually Impaired (TVI) position is available to provide specialized instruction and support for students with visual impairments. This role focuses on delivering services through telehealth methods, ensuring accessibility and effective educational outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans tailored for visually impaired students.
• Deliver instruction and therapeutic support via telehealth platforms.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and related service providers to support student progress.
• Monitor and document student development and adapt strategies to meet evolving needs.
• Promote independence and functional vision skills among students.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI).
• Experience in supporting students with visual impairments in educational settings.
• Proficiency with telehealth technology and virtual teaching methods.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain flexible scheduling as needed.
