Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired - KY

This contract position focuses on providing specialized instruction to visually impaired students via telehealth. Responsibilities include delivering direct instruction, conducting evaluations, and preparing data and reports in alignment with IEP requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver approximately 12 hours of direct instruction monthly, adjusting for varying school session lengths; typically around 3 hours per week with increases to 4 hours in November, April, and May, and up to 6 hours in December.
• Conduct evaluations totaling around 3 hours per month, scheduled according to student assessment timelines.
• Allocate 4 hours monthly for data analysis, graphing, and preparation of ARC documentation.
• Make up approximately 5 hours of service minutes monthly from missed instructional time in August and September, resulting in an average commitment of about 25 hours per month.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Certification or experience in teaching students who are visually impaired.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual instruction methodologies.
• Understanding of Individualized Education Program (IEP) requirements and special education protocols.
• Strong organizational skills to manage variable scheduling and documentation.
