Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) | New York

A part-time opportunity is available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) specializing in telehealth services within a school setting. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, utilizing telehealth platforms to ensure accessibility and individualized learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to visually impaired students through telehealth methods.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with visual impairments.
• Collaborate with educational staff and families to promote student progress.
• Utilize assistive technology and resources appropriate for visually impaired learners.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with educational standards.

Desired Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired.
• Experience delivering instruction via telehealth or remote platforms.
