A full-time opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) specializing in telehealth and in-person services for the 2026/2027 school year. This itinerant position requires a professional holding valid Washington State licensure for teachers of the visually impaired. The role offers flexibility for those preferring either virtual or in-person work within educational settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students across multiple school locations.
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) focused on developing students’ functional vision and adaptive skills.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms and in-person visits to deliver effective educational services.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to optimize student learning experiences.
  • Monitor and report student progress while adjusting instructional strategies as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State licensure for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
  • Experience working as an itinerant TVI preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of visual impairment education techniques and assistive technology.
  • Ability to deliver services through telehealth platforms with excellent communication skills.
  • Commitment to student-centered educational approaches and collaboration.

  • Position is based in Moses Lake, Washington, with itinerant travel requirements.
